| This 70 Hatteras is, by far, the best equipped and maintained available. She was originally designed for one of the primary stockholders of Hatteras who is also one of the principals with Amway. She was in fresh water most of her life, always captain maintained. The last owner has operated the vessel as a husband and wife team, without any assistance from crew. They have maintained her with an open checkbook policy in near perfect condition, adding thoughtful and knowledge upgrades as the needs arouse. This yacht is a veteran of the Great Circle Trip with a hinged radar arch and procedures for modifying the vertical clearances to 184. |

| This magnificent vessel was built in 1962 as an expedition vessel / trawler, and rebuilt in 1993 as a sailing vessel / special purpose ship . During the rebuilding of the vessel into a three-masted Barkentine, all engines were completely overhauled under the Polski Rejestr Statkow ( Polish Register of Shipping). Our agent in Europe inspected the vessel ashore and at sea in the German Bight and found the sailing characteristics to be very good with a perfect stability. The vessel was in a tip top condition and suitable for her purpose. Compared to other sailing vessels of her dimensions she is "one of a kind," with more Luxury and comfort than most. A recent survey is available. |

| General Information
In the first chapter of her career, she served as a hard-working cargo vessel, carrying 155-ton loads of lumber and curbstones throughout the Baltic. Then, after her sale in 1962, she took on a new assignment as one of the first Caribbean charter yachts. Refitted for the purpose in Jutland, Denmark, her hold was transformed into guest accommodations and a large deckhouse was added to contain the main saloon and galley.
In 1980, new owners had The Ring-Andersen taken back to her namesake yard for a total rebuild. During the ensuing three years, using only the very best materials, she underwent a complete metamorphosis. Her rigging was taken down and the hull was entirely dismantled. Timber by timber, the old Ring Andersen disappeared until only the frames and keel remained-and even then, 164 of the 186 frames were replaced. With a new oak hull, and deck and cabin tops made from 16 logs of Burmese teak, The Ring-Andersen emerged a stunning, truly world-class luxury yacht. With impeccable taste, the interior had been completely redesigned to allow remarkable spaciousness and comfort. A shortened deckhouse added sleekness to her lines and increased the outdoor lounging space.
Today, the beautiful Ring-Andersen offers every advantage of a brand-new yacht. But in a manner in which her modern counterparts never can, she gives you not only the latest technologies, but also the old-world luxury and intangible nobility of a true classic.
When you demand the very best in yachting, there is only one choice. Because on The Ring Andersen, you don't just go sailing. On The Ring-Andersen, you go in style.
It is the style of another era, an era when yachting embodied all that was elegant and refined. It was a day when there was time to do things properly.. . to savor the luxuries of sailing on a beautifully appointed, expertly operated private ship.
